Application Process

Due to the tremendous need and desire for families to stay home and care for their children with cancer, we found it necessary to establish a process for applying for a grant through the Szott Foundation.

Contact your Social Worker for an Application

At this time all initial communication must take place between the family and the hematology/oncology social worker at the clinic or hospital. Families may not apply directly to the Szott Foundation for a grant.

If you have a child that has been diagnosed with cancer and you want to stay home from work full time to be with your child, please contact your social worker and ask for information about grants provided by the Szott Foundation. Your social worker has the application and is familiar with the process. He/she will be happy to assist you through it. If you have questions, please read our Frequently Asked Questions to see if your answer can be found there. If you have additional questions, please contact your social worker.

When all parts of the application have been completed by you and the medical personnel caring for your child, the social worker will forward your application to the Szott Foundation Board of Directors for review.

The Szott Foundation understands that this is a tremendously difficult time for your family and we will do everything we can to expedite the process and notify you as soon as possible of our decision.
