The Szott Foundation story is one of tremendous love and great loss. The Szott family knows the pain of losing not just one but two children to cancer. After the loss of their second child in March 2006, David and Kathryn began feeling a pressing need to do something to honor the lives of their children while helping other families who face the same heartaches.

 

The goal of the Szott Foundation is to lighten the immense financial burden that a catastrophic illness, such as cancer, causes in a family. “We can’t mend a broken heart, but we can help alleviate financial heartache one family at a time.”

 

The Szott Foundation became a 501(c)(3) organization in January 2007. Thanks to people like you, as of June 2015, the Szott Foundation has granted the Gift of Time to 24 families, more than $268,000 in total.
